Brian Ch 2 The Bedroom Part 4

He finished with his ablutions and returned to the bedroom where I was still where he’d left me growing cold without his body heat.

“Come over here, love, and sit on the edge of the bed. I’ve laid a towel down,” he explained. I crawled over on my knees until I felt the towel then made certain all the wet parts were on it before I settled myself. “I’m going to help you clean up,” he continued.

“I’m going to untie the blindfold,” I must have made a face because he paused, “and I want you to keep your eyes closed. We’re going to brush your hair and straighten you up, then you can have it back.” I hope I looked relieved. I wasn’t quite ready for this to end, and apparently he wasn’t either. Lucky me.

He undid the knot and lifted the folds of fabric away from my face. I felt a little crumpled and rubbed my eyes, but didn’t open them. I could see some light now through my closed lids probably from the bathroom, and I could make out his moving shadow. He kissed each eyelid then I felt him begin to brush the ends of my long hair. Somehow he’d managed to bring my purse into the bedroom with us and I hadn’t noticed the thoughtful gesture.

“Thank you for taking good care of me,” I said, and grinned.

“You are most welcome,” he answered chivalrously. “It’s actually quite selfish,” he admitted, “I’ve been wanting to brush your hair for you since I first saw you.”

I made a sound like a snort, but that made me happy to hear. I smiled at him.

“Have you given any thought to, ah,” the uncertainty was back in his voice, “To perhaps spending the night? I know we haven’t discussed it, and frankly this date turned out better than I could have expected.” I laughed through my nose in agreement. “My roommate won’t care, and you wouldn’t have to leave the bedroom. I could get anything we needed from the kitchen.” He was talking just a hint to fast and I understood that he wasn’t on familiar ground here.

I reached my hand to touch whatever part of him I was able to reach. He saw me and met my hand with his.

“I would love to stay, thank you,” I said gratefully. I sensed rather than felt his body relax. “There are a couple things I’d need to take care of. I need to take a couple of pills before bed but since that feels like my brush you’re using on my hair my purse probably isn’t far away. So I’ll need some water and my purse.”

“That’s easy,” he said.

“I have contacts in,” I continued, “so just in case you intend for me to sleep with the blindfold, I’ll need to either take them out or we’ll need to use a different blindfold that will let my corneas breathe.”

He chuckled, “I did plan to have you sleep with the blindfold. And yes, I have several other options for you if you’d like to try and see if one of those will work.”

“And thirdly,” I continued, “I need to pee. Now.”

“Well why didn’t you say so?” he laughed. “Is the scarf okay for now?” he asked.

“Yes, that’s fine,” I answered. He finished brushing my hair, tucked it safely behind my ears again, and retied the silk blindfold around my head. I sighed in contentment. It felt like it was supposed to be there now; it was comfortable and not restrictive at all. It felt right.

“Do you need my help or will you be able to manage in there by yourself?” he asked.

“I think I’ll manage alright,” I answered. I stood up from the bed and stepped close to him. I had one hand on his chest and the other around his waist. “Would you like to help, or would you rather not?” I asked frankly.

“I, ah,” he cleared his throat, “I think I’d like to watch, actually.”

“Oh, I couldn’t have guessed,” I said with no little sarcasm. I gave him a warm smile and touched his face. “You must make sure that I don’t slip and fall and hit my head on the bathtub now, right?” I asked softly with only a hint of tease. “I’d like that too,” I finished.

He led me to the doorway and put my hand on the bathroom sink so I’d have my bearings. He waited in the doorway while I emptied my bladder, wiped myself up, and then made my way back to the sink. He took my hand after I’d washed and led me back into the bedroom, leaving me holding onto a bedpost. I heard the door to the closet slide open and the sounds of rustling. He walked back toward me and set something down on the bed. He tapped the edge of a plastic box so I’d know where it was.

“Here’s most of my collection so hopefully you’ll find something that will work for you for sleeping.”

I found the box easily and started trying to identify the items. There were several different sleep masks, also several bandannas and scarves, and even a couple leather items with buckles. At the bottom I found a couple small cardboard boxes but I left them alone and pulled out a few sleep masks.

“I’m sure one of these will work,” I said while fingering a nice satin mask with little nose pads to block light.

He removed the box and returned it to the closet. He came back, took the mask from my hand and crushed me to him, holding my face to his chest.

“God, I loved watching you handle my blindfold collection,” he said gruffly, “It was like you knew it already. It’s like you understand me already.”
